Student Board of St. Xavier’s University, Kolkata (SXUK) hosted a workshop on the application of futuristic technologies involving artificial intelligence, robotics, drones and 3D printing for its members on November 7, 2022 at Aruppe Hall inside the campus.

A team from International Steam Research (ISR) guided the students and provided hands-on training. The welcome address was delivered by Mario Martin Louis, Placement and Training Officer, SXUK.

Dr. George Panicker, Founder and CEO, ISR explained the purpose of the workshop and introduced the students to interesting futuristic situation. With the available materials, participants were assigned individual tasks. The ISR team members assisted participants in carrying out their tasks while facing any difficulty.

The workshop aimed to promote spirit of teamwork and smart thinking among the students. A practical demonstration was also given by the ISR team. The workshop enlightened the participants to learn the importance of solving problems, experiment based learning, developing open mindset and enhanced critical thinking.
