Guidelines to be followed during Examinations
- In the Examination Hall, the student shall be under the disciplinary control of the invigilator, and he/she shall obey the instructions of the invigilator.
- No student shall use unfair means or indulge in disorderly conduct or malpractice during, or in connection with, the examinations.
- Entry into the Examination Hall will be allowed only on production of the Admit Card along with the Student's ID Card.
- The students are instructed to report to the Examination Hall 15 minutes before the scheduled start of examinations.
- No entry will be allowed 15 minutes after the commencement of the examination without the written permission of the Controller of Examinations. However, such permission may only be granted within the first 30 minutes after the commencement of the examination.
- No student will be permitted to submit the answer script before the completion of the first hour of the examination.
- Temporary exit will not be permitted for the first hour after the commencement of the examination.
- No student will be allowed to keep a mobile phone or any other electronic device (except a calculator, if permitted) in his/her possession during the time of examination.
- Instructions on the Admit Card/Answer script and other related examination rules are to be strictly followed.
- The student must write the Question Number (Q. No.) they are answering; otherwise, the answer may be cancelled.
- All rough work must be done in the answer script and cross it through. No loose sheet shall be provided for scribbling, and no paper is to be brought in for this purpose. Any student found with loose Paper or engaged in copying will be subject to Disciplinary Action under the relevant rules.
- If the student uses any additional supplementary sheet(s), graph papers etc., these are to be tied up firmly with the answer script. The student is not to write answers on the loose sheets until he/she has used all the pages in the answer script.
- The students have to write their Roll No. and Registration No. in the space provided for the purpose and nowhere else. Disclosing his/her identity in any other manner is not permitted. The student is not to write his/her name in any part of the answer script, supplementary sheet(s), graph paper(s) (if any), etc. His/her answer script will be cancelled for violation of any of the instructions.

- The rules for conducting examinations may be different if the examinations are held online or in blended mode. Rules for such examination/s will be communicated separately.
- All the rules mentioned herein are illustrative and not exhaustive. Appropriate disciplinary action may be recommended in case of violation of the rules of the examinations by the competent authority on a case-by-case basis.
