Time of Admission:
The admission to the international students will be given in the beginning of every Academic Year and from the beginning of the course. Currently, St. Xavier’s University, Kolkata (SXUK) does not have the facility of lateral entry or admission in the middle of any course. However, provision of lateral entry or admission in the middle of any course may be made under an Exchange Programme which is covered by special collaborative arrangements between SXUK and any Foreign University or Institution.
International Students:
Foreign nationals, PIO card holders, OCI and NRI students can apply under the category of international students.
Steps to follow for Admission:
Step 1: Candidates interested to take admission in St. Xavier’s University must go through the university website and check the eligibility criteria for the course.
Step 2: Fill up the online application form and submit it before the last date of application
Step 3: Appear for the admission test (if applicable).
Step 4: If selected for admission, candidate will be required to send an application mail addressed to the Registrar, St. Xavier’s University, Kolkata with the scanned copy (of the original) of the following documents, email id will be mentioned in the Selection List.
Mark / Grade Statement of the qualifying examination
Passport
Association of Indian Universities Equivalence certificate. (Required if the last qualifying degree is not obtained from Indian Board/University and if the name of the Board/University issuing the degree/Certificate is not in the list of AIU).
English Proficiency Certificate (TOEFL/IELTS, this is only applicable, if the instruction of study in qualifying examination is not in the English medium.)
Step 5: Upon verification of the documents, the Registrar will issue the admission offer letter to the candidate, in order to obtain the visa.
Step 6: After obtaining the provisional student visa from the respective country, the candidate will be required to visit the University campus for generation of Admission form, CIN and Roll No. of the student, which will only be generated after verification of original certificates, Physical fitness test and payment of required fees.
Step 7: Within 14 days of arrival in India, the student will be required to register with the Foreigner Regional Registration Office (FRRO).
