Semester System
- Semester refers to the duration of an academic period, typically six months, and applies to all programmes of study conducted in the semester system.
- There shall be two semesters in an Academic Year (AY), i.e. Odd Semester (July to December) and Even Semester (January to June).
- The undergraduate (UG) degree programmes (excluding undergraduate law degree programmes) are four years in duration, divided into eight semesters (Semester 1 to Semester 8).
- The undergraduate (UG) law degree programmes, i.e. B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) and B.Com. LL.B. (Hons.) are of five years in duration, divided into ten semesters (Semester 1 to Semester 10).
- The postgraduate (PG) degree programmes are of one-year or two-years duration, divided into two semesters (Semester 1 and Semester 2) or four semesters (Semester 1 to Semester 4) respectively.
