Xavier Society of Law and Justice (XSLAJ) of St. Xavier’s University, Kolkata (SXUK) hosted the 4th Xavier Mediation Competition 2026 from March 26 to 28, 2026 at the university campus drawing participation from 32 premier law schools across the country.

The three-day event underscored the rising prominence of mediation as a preferred mode of dispute resolution among young legal minds.

In the preliminary rounds, teams showcased compelling negotiation and mediation strategies. After several intense exchanges, top eight teams in both categories advanced to the quarter-finals.

The final day featured the quarter-final and semi-final rounds, leading to a fiercely contested grand finale evaluated by eminent judges and senior legal professionals. The event concluded with a valedictory ceremony, where winners were felicitated for their outstanding performance.
