Xavier Business School (XBS) of St. Xavier’s University, Kolkata (SXUK) organised the 2-day annual cultural festival Xaviesta 4.0 on January 9-10, 2026 at the university campus.

Rev. Dr. John Felix Raj, S.J., Vice-Chancellor of SXUK inaugurated the programme. The event brought the "Retroverse" to life, marking two days of unparalleled energy and talent.

Mr. Anirban Banerjee, CEO, Eveready Industries India Ltd. was the Chief Guest.

1,100 participants from 53 elite institutions, including IIM Rohtak, IIM Bodh Gaya, WeSchool, and IIT Kharagpur took part in this event. With a total footfall exceeding 6,000 attendees, the event solidified its status as a landmark celebration of student excellence and corporate synergy.

The festival featured 24 diverse events across business, sports, and cultural categories. A key highlight was the business segment, where students faced rigorous evaluation from high-profile industry experts, gaining professional insights that bridged the gap between the classroom and the corporate world. The valedictory address was given by Mr. Sandip Goswami, Senior Manager, HRM, Vivo West Bengal.
