The Sports Society of St. Xavier's University, Kolkata, organized sports activities with enthusiasm and vigour to celebrate the National Sports Day 2025 on the commemoration of the birth anniversary of Major Dhyan Chand, India’s hockey legend. The Hon’ble Vice Chancellor of the university encouraged planning for this celebration. Accordingly we organized outdoor sports activities between 29th August to 31st  August 2025.

 The celebration kicked off on 29th August with the Basketball (Boys & Girls) games and on 30th August 2025 Football was played between the university students. The game was played in true sportsman spirit.

This event will be remembered for outstanding support from students, coaches, teachers and support staff demonstrating a sense of friendliness and team spirit, shaping physical toughness and mental health.
