St. Xavier’s University Kolkata Alumni Association (SXUKAA) successfully hosted its Annual Christmas Gathering on December 20, 2024, at the SXUK campus. The event brought together distinguished guests, including Vice-Chancellors, Principals, and Heads of Institutions alongside the extended Xaverian family.

Rev. Dr. John Felix Raj, SJ, Vice-Chancellor of SXUK and President of SXUKAA, delivered an inspiring Christmas message. He also outlined the future plans for the university’s growth and development. In his address, Father Felix Raj mentioned his formal request to Mamata Banerjee, Hon’ble Chief Minister of West Bengal, for additional land to facilitate the campus’s physical expansion, underscoring the institution’s commitment to scaling new heights.

A vibrant cultural program, organised under the leadership of Dr. Antara Ghatak, captivated the audience. Faculty members and students collaborated to deliver an enthralling performance at the SXUK quadrangle, which was beautifully adorned for the festive occasion.

Mr. Vatsal Chirimar, Hony. Secretary, SXUKAA proposed the Vote of Thanks. He expressed gratitude to all attendees and contributors who made the event a memorable success. The formal program concluded with a sumptuous dinner, fostering camaraderie among the attendees.

Earlier in the day, SXUKAA organized a dedicated Christmas celebration for the faculty and staff of the university. This special program acknowledged their invaluable contributions to the institution and provided an opportunity to celebrate the festive season together.
