Khwahish’24, organized by Xavier’s Commerce and Management Society (XCMS) on 22nd December 2024 at Kulberia Vivekananda F.P. School, celebrated the spirit of giving and community care. The event brought festive joy to approximately 200 underprivileged children through games, interactive activities, and a delicious meal. Volunteers, some dressed as Santa Claus, created a magical atmosphere, distributing kits containing school essentials, snacks, and fun items like badminton rackets and bubble blowers, generously sponsored by Jai Guru Impex.

The event’s success was made possible by the unwavering support of St. Xavier’s University’s leadership, including the Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor Rev. Dr. John Felix Raj S.J., Registrar Prof. Ashis Mitra, Dean of Commerce and Management Dr. Anupam Mitra, and Professors-in-charge Dr. Sumantra Bhattacharya and Dr. Mili Kar. Special thanks were extended to Mr. Kamal Hussain, Head Teacher of the host school, for his cooperation.

Khwahish’24 left a lasting impact, spreading smiles and fostering a sense of community. It exemplified XCMS’s commitment to social responsibility, reinforcing the values of kindness, compassion, and giving back, while embodying the true spirit of Christmas.
