Kolkata/New Town (5 Jun 2026): The Master of Social Work (MSW) Sem-II and Sem-IV students of St. Xavier’s University, Kolkata (SXUK) have started their one month Summer Internship and Special Fieldwork programmes respectively today, 5 June 2026 with different development organisations and corporates across the states of West Bengal, Assam, Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh. The students had just completed their even end semester examinations on 3 June 2026..

The Department of Social Work, SXUK offers a two year full time MSW degree with specialisaitons in Human Resource Development & Management, and Family and Child Welfare; and from the Class of 2026-28 Community Development as another specialisation. The MSW programme at SXUK has a blend of theory and rigorous fieldwork components integrated in its curriculum. The department also offers PhD programme.
