Department of Computer Science of St. Xavier’s University, Kolkata (SXUK) organized an invited lecture by eminent computer professional Mr. Saurav Mukherjee on September 24, 2022 in online mode. The topic was ‘Analytics Life Cycle & its Application in Industry’.

Mr. Saurav Mukherjee, Vice President of Corporate Treasury at Goldman Sachs, explained several concepts of data analytics and their wide applications in industry with regard to real-life applicability. He further mentioned different ways to represent data using several charts and machine learning models related to real-time datasets for suitable application domains in the industry.

Mr. Mukherjee further encouraged postgraduate students of the Departments of Computer Science, Statistics and Xavier Business School (XBS) to explore the emerging domain of data science and illustrated its relevance to different aspects. The programme was concluded with an interactive session. Deans, faculty members and students of departments of Computer Science, Statistics, Economics and XBS attended the programme.
