St. Xavier’s University, Kolkata (SXUK) observed the ‘Swachhata Pakhwada’ 2022 (the Cleanliness Fortnight) during the period of 1st – 15th Sept 2022 by organising a poster making competition for the students of the university. This year, the objective of observing Swachhata Pakhwada was to bring an intense focus on the issues and practices of hygiene and cleanliness.

The poster making competition was organized to offer the students a platform to showcase their artistic skills and creative potential within the broad theme of ‘Swachhata for a Green India, Swachhata for a Green Earth’ and to promote conversation on challenges related to hygiene and cleanliness among all.

The wave of enthusiasm of the students could be felt by us as we sorted an array of posters they submitted. The university appreciates the efforts and ideas of all the students who took part in this competition, even though we were bound to select only a handful of posters for the purpose of display in noticeboards and the university website.
