Xavier Law School (XLS) of St. Xavier’s University, Kolkata (SXUK) celebrated the Annual Intra Moot Court Competition XavJudice’24 on April 26-27, 2024 at the university campus.

Rev. Dr. John Felix Raj, S.J., the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor of SXUK said, “I am happy to find XLS organising such a programme for the professional development of our law students. Such programmes help students to realise the real-life courtroom practice before they start their professional journey.”

More than 200 students of the XLS participated in the preliminary rounds of the competition and judged by the faculty members of XLS and 20 external judges from legal profession. 11 courtrooms were organised as a real court to inculcate the feeling of mooting among the students.

What truly set XavJudice’24 apart was the sheer diversity of legal issues tackled by the participants. From constitutional law to international law, from contracts to torts, the competition covered a wide spectrum of legal domains, challenging participants to think critically and creatively in their problem-solving approach.
