To promote the managerial education and inspire young aspirants, Xavier Business School (XBS) of St. Xavier’s University Kolkata commenced its fifth consecutive MBA batch on August 2, 2022.

In his inaugural speech, Rev. Dr. John Felix Raj, S.J., Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor emphasised on the spirit of entrepreneurship vis-à-vis managerial traits. He encouraged the students to uphold the illustrious Jesuit legacy and commitment towards creativity, leadership and ethical standards.

Mr. Umesh Chowdhary, Vice Chairman and Managing Director of Titagarh Wagons Limited was the Chief Guest. A Xaverian, Mr. Chowdhury motivated the students sharing his life experiences. He further said that focus, commitment, hard work, patience and passion are the success mantra for the present generation. Registrar Prof. Ashis Mitra narrated the rules and regulations of the University to the freshers.
