SXUK organizes orientation programme for support staff
In a bid to refresh the working spirit of its staff members in the post pandemic period, St. Xavier’s University, Kolkata (SXUK) organized a day-long Orientation Programme on June 25, 2022. A total of 32 support staff members from different departments attended this programme enthusiastically.
The programme started with an inaugural speech by Fr. John Felix Raj, S.J., Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor of the University. He elaborated on Jesuit principles and values that need to be inculcated among the members to build team spirit and collaboration. He briefed on the importance of teamwork and serving the society.
The second session was conducted by Mr. Sandip Chatterjee, President, Gamut Infosystem. He elucidated the house on the technical requirements and enhancement of soft skills among the employees and staff. He further emphasised on problem solving skills and decision-making abilities among the staff for better interaction among the peer group. He also elaborated on the right professional attitude at workplace.
The post lunch session was taken by Prof. Ashis Mitra, Registrar of the University. He discussed on professional code of conduct, leave rules and work ethics. He further elaborated on the rules, regulations, and policies of the University.
The programme ended with an interactive session with Fr. Vice-Chancellor and Registrar. The Vote of Thanks was delivered by Dr. Tuhin Utsab Paul, Assistant Registrar.
