Department of Psychology, St. Xavier’s University, Kolkata (SXUK) organized a two-part webinar series titled “Mind Matters: Contemporary Paths in Psychology” and “Expanding World of Psychology: From Clinics to Corporates” on May 6 and 13, 2026 respectively. The initiative aimed to familiarize participants with contemporary developments, emerging perspectives, and diverse career pathways in the field of psychology.

The first session was conducted by Dr. Anurupa Kundu of Department of Psychology, SXUK. She provided valuable insights into the evolving dimensions of psychological research and practice, highlighting the relevance of psychological understanding in addressing modern-day challenges.

The second session featured Dr. Susmita Halder, Dean, Faculty of Arts and Social Studies, SXUK. Her talk explored the expanding scope of psychology beyond clinical settings, emphasizing its growing significance in corporate environments, organizational development, and workplace well-being.

The webinar series witnessed enthusiastic participation from 58 attendees representing diverse academic and professional backgrounds. Both sessions were marked by lively discussions and active engagement from participants. The speakers addressed these queries with clarity and depth, making the sessions informative and enriching for all involved.
