Department of Mass Communication of St. Xavier’s University, Kolkata (SXUK) hosted ‘Xav-Create’, a graphic design exhibition on April 9, 2025 at the university campus.

Rev. Dr. John Felix Raj, S.J., Vice-Chancellor of SXUK inaugurated the event in the presence of dignitaries. The 3-day exhibition showcased design displays, made by the undergraduate students of second and final semesters.

While the final semester students developed comprehensive brand portfolios consisting of ten original design pieces, the second semester students created five design pieces each, based on existing brands, focusing on visual reinterpretation and consistency.

The creations of the students were critically evaluated by the Project Director, Fr. Dr. Mourlin K, S.J. and other members of the ongoing ICSSR-sponsored research project at SXUK. The exhibition was coordinated by Mr. Tanmay Samanta, the Graphic Design Instructor of the department.

Dr. Harish Kumar
