St. Xavier’s University, Kolkata (SXUK) organised a faculty orientation programme for its faculty members on June 20, 2025 at the university campus. The orientation focused on the upcoming student induction for the new academic session 2025-26.

While delivering the inaugural speech, Rev. Dr. John Felix Raj, S.J., Vice-Chancellor of SXUK advised that faculty members should reflect on the history of SXUK, administrative structure, vision and mission, Jesuit legacy, and campus life to the new students while orienting them with the Xaverian culture.

The faculty members should also focus on curriculum, syllabus, rules and regulations, use of LMS, and other facilities like counselling and mentoring, etc.

A department- or school-wise brainstorming session followed, where the Heads and Deans of every department / school reflected on the objectives and outcomes of the induction programme for their respective department / school. The meeting ended with a concluding note by Father Felix Raj.
