Students’ Board of St. Xavier’s University, Kolkata (SXUK) organised a health awareness camp on April 3 and 5, 2023 in the university premises as a part of social activity. The camp was open to all students and staff members of SXUK.

On the first day, eye check-up for students and staff members took place in collaboration with Sunetra Eye Care, Kolkata. Dr. Amitava Biswas, Director of Sunetra Eye Care and Mrs. Neena Biswas, Head, Department of Optometric were present. Around 200 students and staff members underwent eye check-up.

A health talk on balanced diet in association with Fortis Hospital, Kolkata took place on April 5. Dr. Mita Shukla was the eminent speaker. Dr. Sanjay Garg discussed mental health and stress management and Dr. Sanjukta Dutta gave a detailed insight on basic life support training.

Doctors and Registered Medical Officers (RMOs) measured blood pressure, random blood sugar and ECG of the students and staff members. Those who needed also consulted with a cardiologist. The camp witnessed huge participation of students and staff members.
