Ph.D. Inauguration 2026

St. Xavier's University, Kolkata (SXUK) held the inauguration for its new Ph.D. batch on Saturday, July 25. With 55 fresh scholars joining the doctoral program this year, the total number of Ph.D. candidates at the university has reached 201.
Fr. Vice-Chancellor emphasized to research scholars that academic inquiry should not be conducted merely for its own sake or as a procedural requirement, but to advance human knowledge and foster tangible societal development
Dr. Mononita Kundu Das, as PhD Coordinator, organized the ceremony with her team.
