NAAC ASSESSMENT AND ACCREDITATION PROCESS: THE KNOW HOW
A one-day national level webinar on 'NAAC Assessment and Accreditation Process: The Know How', was conducted by the St. Xavier's University, Kolkata on October 17, 2020 from 3 p.m. onwards. The online academic discourse witnessed a huge response as more than 200 participants registered and attended in Google Meet from across various Universities and colleges of the country. Facebook and YouTube also had over 250 views for the event.
The invited speakers were renowned NAAC advisers namely Prof Amiya Kumar Rath, Prof B. S. Ponmudiraj, Dr. Neelesh Pandey and Dr. Ruchi Tripathy. The webinar was inaugurated by a welcome address by our Hon'ble Vice Chancellor, Rev Fr. Dr. J Felix Raj. A pioneer of modern thinking and application of the same in the teaching learning process, Fr Felix Raj greeted all the invited experts and the audience.
Prof Amiya Kumar Rath, emphasized on the requirement of a stimulating academic environment and quality research publication as a main constituent of NAAC Procedure. Prof. Rath further suggested that every faculty should consult with the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) available in the NAAC website while filling up the data. Dr. Ruchi Tripathy discussed meticulously about the Data Validation and Verification (DVV) process. Dr. Neelesh Pandey discussed Student Satisfaction Survey (SSS) as one of the Key factors to judge the performance of the Institution.
On behalf of the NAAC experts, Prof B. S. Ponmudiraj addressed the queries with relevant facts and figures. This session was highly interactive as various pertinent question related to NAAC process was raised by various eminent educationist present as the audience
The webinar concluded with a vote of thanks by Registrar of the University, Prof Ashish Mitra. He congratulated the speakers and the IQAC organising team members for the successful and effective organisation of the webinar.
