MSW Sem 4 start special fieldwork
New Town/Kolkata (10 Apr. 2026): The MSW Semester IV students of SXUK kicked off their special field work today with great enthusiasm, diving into specialization-based organizational exposure.
Family & Child Welfare (FCW) students visited the Indian Society for Sponsorship & Adoption (ISSA), Kolkata, where they gained deep insights into child care institutions, adoption procedures, Individual Care Plans (ICP), documentation, and counseling for prospective adoptive parents. Interactive sessions with esteemed professionals and social workers made the experience truly enriching.
Human Resource Development & Management (HRDM) students explored the Computer Exchange Company Limited at Park Street. They participated in an engaging session with Director Mr. Debasish Dasgupta, who shared the organization’s inspiring 35+ year journey—from a small IT bookstore to a leading provider of IT solutions across major Indian cities. He also highlighted the importance of communication, teamwork, leadership, and grassroots experience in HR, along with insights into CSR and industry practices.
Both groups were accompanied by faculty members from the Department of Social Work, SXUK. The day was filled with learning, interaction, and real-world exposure.
The journey continues from April 11–14 at the Parasmani Outreach Centre, Shantiniketan, where students will further engage with communities and organizations.
