Department of Psychology of St. Xavier’s University, Kolkata (SXUK) commemorated the World Mental Health Day by organizing PSYSPHERE’25 on October 10, 2025 at the university campus.

The motif of PSYSPHERE was designed in accordance with the theme selected by the World Health Organization, “Access to Services – Mental Health in Catastrophes and Emergencies,” that highlighted resilience, recovery and strength of human connection amid crisis.

The event commenced with a street play (Nukkad Natak), followed by two other events namely “Canvas of Coping”, where participants transformed personal experiences into moving works of art and “Turncoat: Ctrl + Alt + Heal”, a dynamic discourse on reimagining social media for mental well-being.

The grand finale “Live Minds: Voices of Psyche” brought psychology to life through a street play competition. Each performance emphasized psychological first aid and mental health awareness through storytelling, blending empathy with social consciousness.
