Xaverians in Action (XIA) conducted a webinar on 'Covid-19: Battling the second wave and understanding the vaccine drive' on 6th May 2021. Its aim was to spread awareness as well as to clarify Covid-19 related doubts of the attendees. Dr. Rahul Jain (Consultant Physician and Diabetologist from Belle Vue Clinic) was the Key Speaker of the Webinar.

Dr. Jain, in his Keynote Address, stated the importance of wearing a mask and staying indoors at all costs. He also demonstrated the correct method of wearing an N-95 mask. Subsequently, Dr. Jain responded to queries some of which were vaccine-related. Questions like would Covishield or Covaxin be a better option; how the healthcare industry or government plan on rolling out vaccines during this shortage period; side effects of vaccines and several others were answered. Kindness to one another during this challenging time was a key message to everyone by Dr. Jain.

To conclude the Webinar, an online Quiz on Covid-19 was conducted to make it more interactive and engaging, with over 100 students competing against each other. The enlightening discussion ended with a vote of thanks from the whole XIA Committee.
