Sharanya Mukherjee has completed her Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) and Master of Commerce (M.Com.) with a specialization in Accounting and Finance from Shri Shikshayatan College, affiliated with the University of Calcutta. She has also earned a Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) in Human Resource Management from St. Xavier's College (Autonomous), Kolkata. She has qualified the University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC-NET) and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Commerce at St. Xavier's University, Kolkata.
She is presently serving as an Assistant Professor (Contractual) in the Department of Commerce and Management at St. Xavier's University, Kolkata.
Prior to joining academia, Ms. Mukherjee gained diverse industry experience across recruitment, banking, and finance. She began her professional career as an Executive – Sourcing at ERM Placement Services. She subsequently worked at Genpact in the Accounts Receivable domain for one year and one month, where she was involved in invoicing, cash application, and credit management. She later served as a Customer Service Officer at Axis Bank.
Ms. Mukherjee then joined Capgemini, where she worked for three years and three months, initially as a Credit Controller and later as a Finance Controller, supporting clients across the UK and US regions. She also worked with British Telecom for one year and one month as a Cash Application professional catering to the UK region.
