Biographical Sketch

Dr Shibu Gorai is an Assistant Professor of English at St. Xavier’s University, Kolkata. He previously served as an Assistant Professor at Abacus Institute of Engineering and Management (JIS & Techno), West Bengal, and as a Teaching Assistant in Communicative English at the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Durgapur. He obtained his PhD in English from the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, National Institute of Technology (NIT) Durgapur. During his doctoral tenure at NIT Durgapur, he received the UGC Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Senior Research Fellowship (SRF).  His research has been published in reputed Scopus- and Web of Science-indexed journals and edited volumes, and he has presented papers at several national and international conferences. His research interests include Indian English literature, literary and cultural theory, disability studies, and literature–cinema intersections.
