Dr. Sabyasachi Maulik is an Assistant Professor in Physics at the Xavier School of Engineering and Technology, St. Xavier's University, Kolkata. He carried out his Ph.D. thesis at Saha Institute of Nuclear Physics. Prior to joining St. Xavier's University, he held postdoctoral positions at the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur and the University of Science and Technology of China. His research interests include quantum field theory, string theory, gravity, holography, and mathematical physics, with a particular focus on black holes, and gauge/gravity duality.
