I am currently serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Commerce at St. Xavier's University. I hold a Ph.D. from Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI), New Delhi, and have been a Gold Medalist in both my Master of International Business (MBA-IB) from Jamia Millia Islamia and B.Com (Hons.) from Aligarh Muslim University. I also hold an M.Com from IGNOU. I have qualified the UGC-NTA National Eligibility Test (NET) in both Commerce and Management multiple times.
My academic journey has been driven by a passion for teaching, research, and lifelong learning. Over the years, I have gained substantial experience in higher education, teaching undergraduate and postgraduate courses in commerce and management while actively contributing to curriculum development, student mentoring, and academic administration.
My research primarily focuses on consumer behaviour, sustainable marketing, retail management, behavioural sciences, and sustainable consumption. I am particularly interested in understanding consumer decision-making processes and exploring how behavioural insights can contribute to sustainable business practices and effective public policy. My research has been published in internationally reputed Scopus-indexed and ABDC-ranked journals, including Journal of Public Affairs, Sustainability and Climate Change, and International Journal of Ethics and Systems.
I have presented my research at several prestigious national and international conferences, including those organized by IIM Kozhikode and IIT Roorkee. To strengthen my research capabilities, I have participated in multiple advanced research methodology courses, faculty development programmes, and academic writing workshops conducted by leading institutions and the ICSSR.
I have been honoured with the Maulana Azad National Fellowship (MANF) and was also selected for the National Fellowship for OBC (NFOBC) by the University Grants Commission (UGC). These recognitions have further motivated me to pursue high-quality research that addresses contemporary societal and business challenges.
