After meeting a huge success in Xavkala 1.0 last year, Xavier’s University Cultural and Arts Society (XUCAS), the cultural society of St. Xavier’s University, Kolkata (SXUK) organized the Xavkala 2.0 on September 17, 2022 with a plethora of cultural events.

The programme began with the words of Rev. Fr. Dr. John Felix Raj, S.J., Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, SXUK who addressed the enthusiastic student-crowd to unveil their creative sides with full vigour. It then moved forward with a series of cultural events that included enchanting musical events, retro vs latest, minute to fame, face-painting and glorious rap battle.

The programme also hosted events like steps of eastern dance, funny memes, nail-painting and competitive dance ‘face-off.’ Students continued to have all eyes on them as the programme furthered on into t-shirt painting and beat-boxing.

Emerging stand-up comedians, volatile band performances, canvas-painting and digital art subtly left their marks in the audience-mind too. The programme concluded with a fashion-show and western dance that left the entire crowd mesmerized. The winners were felicitated too.
