XBS hosts international conference
Xavier Business School (XBS) of St. Xavier’s University, Kolkata (SXUK) hosted the Xavier International Conference on Business Environment (XICBE 2025) on November 29th & 30th, 2025 in collaboration with University of Sussex, United Kingdom and Singapore Management University, Singapore at the SXUK campus.
The opening ceremony was graced by Rev. Dr. John Felix Raj, S.J., Vice-Chancellor of SXUK and Dr. Uma Shankar, IAS as the Chief Guest.
150 academicians, industry experts, policymakers, and researchers participated in the conference. 88 research papers were presented. 45 external experts in different areas of management shared their views.
A Green Tribute was also conducted with a tree plantation ceremony, attended by prominent guests including Shri Rakesh Ranjan, Additional Secretary, Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC).
The conference highlighted global perspectives on business, sustainability, innovation, and policy through strong international partnerships with the University of Sussex and Singapore Management University. Keynote addresses from experts across UK, USA, France, Uzbekistan, and UAE, along with insightful panel discussions, explored themes such as ‘Redefining Success Beyond Profits’ and ‘Navigating Climate Risk and Business Resilience.’
XICBE 2025 presented diverse technical sessions, including ESG practices, corporate governance, AI, marketing, and entrepreneurship. Supported by esteemed sponsors, the event reinforced commitment of XBS to fostering research-driven, future-ready business knowledge.
