WGDC hosts essay competition

The Women and Gender Development Cell (WGDC) of St. Xavier’s University, Kolkata (SXUK) organised an essay competition on August 23, 2024 at the university campus. The topic was ‘Celebrating roles and responsibilities of women teachers.’
All the undergraduate students of first semester participated in the event. The winners were felicitated by Rev. Dr. John Felix Raj, SJ, Vice-Chancellor of SXUK on September 5, 2024 while celebrating the Teachers’ Day.
WGDC aims to understand and progressively engage the students with issues of gender as a social location and create an enabling environment for the stakeholders of the university.
