SXUK organises plantation drive

St. Xavier's University, Kolkata (SXUK) in collaboration with the Rotary Club of Calcutta and Gift a Garden organised a plantation drive to celebrate Earth Day on April 22, 2026 at the university campus.
The event aimed at promoting environmental awareness and sustainable practices among students and faculty members.
Rev. Dr. John Felix Raj S.J., Vice-Chancellor of SXUK inaugurated the event in the presence of Fr. Dr. Xavier Jeyaraj, SJ, Registrar, and other senior dignitaries of the university.
Students and faculty members together planted saplings of medicinal and fruit-bearing plants. The initiative reflected a strong commitment towards sustainability, biodiversity conservation, and ecological responsibility.
