In a bid to excel more in research work, St. Xavier’s University, Kolkata (SXUK) organised a national level conference on ‘Contemporary issues in Accounting, Finance and Management’ on April 29, 2023 in the university campus.

It was a collaborative effort by the Faculty of Commerce and Management, Father Lafont Centre for Excellence in Research and Innovation (LCERI), SXUK and the Indian Accounting Association (IAA), Kolkata.

Prof. Jasraj Bohra, President, IAA delivered the inaugural address. There were two sessions in the conference. A total of 56 research papers were presented by academicians and research scholars on different topics related to the theme. Renowned professors from different universities of India moderated parallel plenary sessions.

Among the dignitaries present were Dr. Ananda Mohan Pal, President, IAA, Kolkata branch; Dr. Satyajit Dhar, Secretary, IAA, Kolkata branch; Dr. Amitava Roy, Dean, Commerce, St. Xavier’s College, Kolkata; Dr. Amalendu Bhunia, Dean of Arts and Commerce, University of Kalyani, etc.

Faculty members and students of SXUK, academicians and research scholars from different colleges and universities attended the conference.
