Father Felix Raj Honoured with Prestigious Tagore Award
Father Felix Raj, a renowned Jesuit priest and founding Vice-Chancellor of St. Xavier's University, Kolkata, India, received the esteemed Tagore Award for his lifetime achievements. The award ceremony took place on October 10 at the House of Lords, Palace of Westminster in London, UK, as part of the Thought Leadership Summit hosted by the Global Collaboration Forum, Indi Setu.
Dr. Amit Ghose, Founder-Director of Indi Setu, and Mr. Manik Dey of London presented the award to Father Raj in the presence of a distinguished gathering of international dignitaries, including British parliamentarians.
In his acceptance speech, Father Felix Raj humbly said, "I accept this award as a recognition of the good work being done and an acknowledgement of the goodwill that exists among people. Every dream, despite opposition, can become a reality with the support and participation of those around us. We simply need to take bold steps forward.
During his London visit, Father Raj will be visiting the University of Sussex on October 13, to discuss and strengthen collaborative plans between St. Xavier's University and Sussex University.
