Department of Mass Communication of St. Xavier’s University, Kolkata (SXUK) conducted a guest lecture session by an eminent professional to groom its postgraduate students on August 25, 2023. Students from the Department of English also attended the session.

Mr. Siddhartha Roy, Chief Executive Officer, Response India was the speaker. He discussed how to shape the future of an organisation through creating a meaningful brand and developing strong faith among consumers for its eternal existence.

Mr. Ray said that brands are not developed in one day and it requires a long perseveration of a company to build up belief among its consumers. He further explained why students of communication studies should understand vision, mission, and goal of a brand and its purpose.

He advised students to work hard in their professional life to meet the objectives of the organisation. He shared examples of famous brands like Gillette, Dove, etc. and history of their growth. An interactive session took place at the end. Students found the session highly enriching.
