Department of Mass Communication of St. Xavier’s University, Kolkata (SXUK) hosted XAVCOMM’25, an inter-college Communication Fest, on January 10 and 11, 2025 at the university campus.

The event was inaugurated by Rev. Dr. John Felix Raj, S.J., Vice-Chancellor of SXUK in the presence of Prof. Ashis Mitra, Registrar; Dr. Susmita Halder, Dean of Faculty of Arts and Social Studies and other senior officers, faculty members and students.

The two-day programme witnessed a series of events like talk shows, Mr. & Ms. Mass Comm, talent hunts, treasure hunts and captivating performances in dance, acting, and singing.

More than 200 students from 27 colleges and universities across Kolkata participated in different events scheduled for inter-college competition, like news report writing, graphics designing, ad making, podcasting, photography, marketing pitch, street play, press conference, movie trivia, etc. The event concluded with prize distribution to the winners in each event, followed by an electrifying guest performance by DJ Tatrix.
